We are thrilled to announce Rescue Dog Wines’ first-ever pinot! The 2021 Central Coast Pinot Noir is our latest release and we could not be prouder to share this elegant wine with our customers.
A Quintessential California Pinot Noir
Aged for 12 months in French oak barrels using traditional winemaking methods, this complex red contains notes of hibiscus, dark cherry, and earthiness with a smooth finish. This wine is silky and a little dry, balancing these big notes perfectly.
Winemaker Susy Rodriguez Vasquez explains the barrels were on their second use so the first taste is the pinot noir, which is complemented by the oak. The 2021 Pinot Noir was also produced using no animal products, making it a wonderful vegan wine option for your dinner table.
The versatility of our 100 percent pinot noir makes it pair well with almost any food. Try it with cheese and charcuterie as an appetizer, or serve with a main like roast lamb or grilled pork tenderloin. If you prefer plant-based fare, mushrooms are a classic pinot noir pairing that bring out this wine’s lovely earthy notes.

New Varietal, New Dog on the Label
We know many of you have been waiting patiently to see a French Bulldog on a Rescue Dog Wines label, so this exceptional pinot inspired by French winemaking seemed like the perfect opportunity to introduce a new dog on the label.
Remember: our pinot has a purpose—50 percent of proceeds will go to rescue dog organizations to help place shelter dogs in loving homes!
Cheers, Blair & Laura
